Mager Team at Villa Sandik: Turning Waste into Blessings

Mager Team launched their first program at Villa Sandik, transforming the community’s perspective on waste. The complex is temporarily nicknamed the “Comfortable Waste Complex”, where residents can comfortably dispose of organic waste, which is then managed by Kak Hadi and the Mager Team.

Kak Hadi: From Scholarship to Environmental Action

Kak Hadi is more than just the coordinator of the program. He is a scholarship recipient from Mari Gerak and Denkspa, which provided him opportunities to learn and grow. For Kak Hadi, education is not just about classroom knowledge—it’s about applying what he has learned to benefit the community.

His first project with Mager Team was “Comfortable Waste”, a simple yet meaningful initiative. Every day, Kak Hadi and the team guided Villa Sandik residents in managing organic waste, turning vegetable scraps, fruits, leaves, and even eggshells into rich compost.

What brings Kak Hadi the greatest joy is seeing residents who were initially hesitant now enjoy the composting process, even helping plant trees or harvest the compost. “Seeing them learn, smile, and realize that waste can become a blessing… that is the greatest reward for me,” he shares.

Kak Hadi’s story proves that education and social action can go hand in hand. The scholarship he received opened doors not only for himself but also for the community, which is now learning to care for the environment.

What is Compost?

Kak Hadi explains that compost is organic fertilizer produced from the decomposition of organic materials by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi.

Materials that can be composted include:

  • Vegetable and fruit scraps
  • Dry leaves and grass
  • Leftover rice, eggshells, meat, and fish
  • Other organic materials

By turning waste into compost, we not only reduce landfill waste but also create blessings for the environment. Kak Hadi emphasizes: do not litter and do not burn waste—compost it instead. By doing so, we contribute to a healthier planet.

Support and Collaboration

The Comfortable Waste Program at Villa Sandik receives strong support from @keluarga_denker and @denkspa_offiziell. This collaboration demonstrates Mager Team’s commitment to environmental education and the successful implementation of organic waste management so far.

Through awareness and simple actions, Mager Team proves that communities can turn waste into blessings while protecting the Earth for future generations.
